History of Portage & Main Outdoor Water FurnacesThe Portage & Main Outdoor Water Furnace (also has been called a stove or boiler) has been providing warmth and comfort to families and business since 1973. It first originated in Brampton, Ontario, then moved to South Junction, Manitoba. In 2005, it transferred to Piney, Manitoba, where Piney Manufacturing Ltd. is now manufacturing the Portage & Main Outdoor Water Furnace which burns all types of wood and coal. Same name and same great quality. Slight improvements have been made to make it even more efficient and more convenient for your heating needs. Our company believes in sustainable/ alternative energy systems. Burn a tree, plant a tree, and insure we have energy for future generations.
