Portage & Main Coal or Pellet Stokers
Come with a standard eight foot auger (option is available for up to 12 foot length).

Portage & Main Sawdust Unit
Is a custom-built live deck to prevent sawdust from bridging, the main power supply to the boiler requires only 120 volts-10 amps, power is then inverted to 220 volts, 3-phase (variable speed) which drives the 1/4 HP Leeson motor that runs the stoker for coal burners. The sawdust stoker has a 1 HP motor.

Portage & Main Stoker
Is also equipped with automatic ash removal designed to be trouble free for years to come. The stoker head inside air director provides an even air flow under the fire allowing for very efficient, clean-burning combustion.

Portage & Main Stoker Features Include:

• low water shut down safety
• adjustable drive overloads for fan and stoker
• electronic overload burn back protection
• adjustable air flow
• variable frequency drive (VDF) speed control allows for burning of any grade fuel
• stoker can be programmed to come on automatically-programming in 1 to 30 minute intervals which maintains a minimum fire and prevents burn back
• heavy duty 1/4 HP AC 220 volt 3-phase Leeson drive motor (inverter rated). AC is better than DC voltage
• heavy duty Bonfiglioli gear box for long life
• electronic aquastat control for temperature accuracy
• manual fan control (overload protected, ball bearing motor capacitor run, long life)
• virtually smokeless-very clean burn
• self-cleaning rotating stoker head-Warnock Hershey certified
• tested to CSA and UL standards
• very easy to clean heat exchanger-user friendly
• four pass heat exchanger-highly efficient
• 10 year limited water jacket and burn pot warranty
• 3 year warranty on stoker components
• 1 year warranty on electrical components

Portage & Main Workmanship

Portage & Main Outdoor Water Furnaces have a long history of great performance. Round fire pots and 1/4" cold-rolled steel means less risk of warping related problems. The welding strength is increased by the boiler style double welds. W44 cold rolled steel has the same corrosion resistant properties as boiler plate. It is know for being a very "uniform" steel, ideally suited to forming without fatiguing. Corrosion is easily controllable with top quality certified boiler water treatment.
